To kick off – meet Jignesh, aka Jig. The voice of BrickX!
1. What is your role at BrickX?
Head of Client Services!
2. What do you love most about working at BrickX and more specifically, your role?
The best part about this role is the diversity. I don’t just do one thing, and my role requires me to be available for customers via three mediums – which becomes really challenging but also very exciting. Property and Investing are my passions so to talk about my passion to customers, that is the best part of my role. I also enjoy that I get to work closely with all parts of the business from developers and accounts, to compliance and marketing.
3. What is the biggest challenge?
This is the first time in my 13 year career that I have worked in a FinTech start-up. Culturally it is very different from any corporate environment that I am used to, so the challenge was to adjust my style of answering the phone and writing emails. Generally the language I use now is much more relaxed.
4. What are some common questions you get from customers?
The most common questions are to do with the product itself – ‘ How does it work?’, ‘What kinds of returns should we expect’, ‘Can overseas investors invest?’ etc.
BrickX is a sophisticated product that provides a unique solution for investors, so I enjoy the process of explaining it and helping new members get started.
5. What does good customer service mean to you?
Good customer service is when you go that extra mile for the customer so that they have an excellent experience – when you under promise and over deliver. And good banter is a must!
6: What is your fun fact or party trick?
I love dancing, any song, any beat, any time. Preferably 90’s hip hop and pop 🙂
